Steps to Selling a Membership

A membership must be sold through the Club unless transferring it with the sale of your home.

  1. If you are not current in the payment of your annual dues, you need to pay to the Club before you can sell. The stockholder of record on April 1 is responsible for payment of the annual dues.

  2. Call the Membership InfoLine to get on the seller's waiting list. When someone interested in buying a membership contacts the pool, you will be given their phone number.

  3. Call that buyer to arrange a time and place for the transfer of funds and certificate.

  4. If you cannot find your membership certificate, pick up a transfer form from Membership Records or download it from this web site (see FAQ). You will need to sign this form in front of a Notary and have it notarized. This form is then used in place of your certificate during the transfer.

  5. Transfer:

You give the buyer the signed membership certificate. Make sure that both people named on the front of the certificate have signed the back of the certificate.

You give the buyer the tennis key or $5.00 to buy a replacement.

You give the buyer your family's pool passes (if you have them).

Get from the buyer $1,200 (plus any pro-rated dues if selling mid pool season).

  6. Instruct the buyer to call Membership Records to arrange pick up of the new membership certificate and "Membership Package". The buyer must do this in order to get their name and address in the records and on the mailing list and to receive their pool passes.

NOTE: If you move before your membership is sold, please remember to contact the Membership InfoLine with your new address and phone number so that they can contact you.
When selling your membership, please remember the following:
